“How can secret rooms, rooms that have disappeared,
become abodes for an unforgettable past?”

How is it that the spaces we take for provisional refuge
or as an occasional shelter become so much a part of
our intimate day-dreams? Is it the situation of needing
to take shelter? In that moment all intimate spaces
become illuminated. Structures that first read as hostile
now seem to welcome and embrace. Or is it purely
the notion that you, yourself become aware of your
movement, that you are in transition through a space
and will soon be part of its past.
